So i woke up this morning to my ssc bleached out.
Got it about a week ago, was on the sand bed for a week, had good Pe, few days ago i moved it up to the spot where i was gonna glue it, then this morning, all white...

Have about 10 other sps all doing great. Only running black boxs at blue 100%, white 20%(lowest setting)

No not really, atleast 8 inches maybe 10. Theres a bonsai frag mini colony in between the return and the ssc.

Only thing i can think of is the bonsai was about 2.5 inches away from the ssc, maybe some warefare? Idk.

I have terrible luck with ssc too. All other sps have great color and PE. I've had frags and colonies. I'm running black boxes too but also happened when I had T5's

Its rtn. SSC must be good for that. geversole01 above lost his and I too lost mine almost overnight. I found my loss was due to my refractometer being out of calibration and my salinity being all the way down to 1.019. Always calibrate with calibration fluid not ro/di water.

Ssc are one of the more sensitive acros imo stability in all levels is necessary for success. I lost one recently do to switching the type of salt i use . While maintaining all testable levels.

Yeah, theres is nothing left. No flesh what so ever. Maybe bleached isnt the best word, flesh disappeared over night. I manually top off, i wonder if i topped off to close to it and it shocked it with the temporary salinity change.

Some acros do commit suicide for no apparent reason. IME, RTN happens on newly arrived SPS only. Do not top off directly into DT, do it in the sump if you have one. If not, do it slowly.
