Hello All,

Was curious to test my tank as i was working on another project to see if my tank had stray voltage. I tested an outlet and came up perfect with the black lead in the ground and the red lead in the hot. I taped the ground as i read online and placed the red elad in my tank. to my surprise it read 00.0. i retested it on the outlet and right at 120. i know its not a lead issue. System is real simple.

Skimz SM162 w/ Cobalt MJ1200 Feed
Ecotech Vectra M1
Ecotech MP10QD x 4
Finnex Heater Titanium 200W (Live in So Florida Never On) But for test turned on and still zero
Cobslt MJ1200 for stirring the sump
Ecotech Radion G4 Pro x 2
Apex with all the Probes

I used the Gardner Bender GDT-3190 and is brand new. Is this possible to not get a reading at all?

Thank you all for your help?

Titanium heater is acting as a grounding probe. You will need to unplug it to get a true reading. If you have a grounding probe, or something acting like one (in my experience this is titanium heaters or chillers) then you will not read any voltage.

Thank you. Didn't even think of that. I will try that and report back....
