Stray Voltage

Thanks for the heads up Chris. I feed plenty of seaweed (brown, red, green) that is soaked in garlic before adding to the tank. I do have a 20 long that I can use as a QT. The Tang is eating really aggressively and not scraping the rocks so I'm not going to intervene at the moment. If it get worse, then I'll scramble to take action!

Garlic soaked seaweed, hmm work pretty well?

I think so far so good! I have soaked the seaweed in garlic every time before placing in the tank. I just let it absorb the liquid garlic for several minutes before placing it in the tank. Just need a few drops per piece of rolled up seaweed. Not only does it give the fish the added benefit of garlic for immune system, but it softens up the seaweed so the fish can tear it off easier.

The Tang looks better as of last night but still not 100%. I'm leaning towards something in the epoxy or gel and the stress of me moving stuff around upset the Tang.

If the fish were not use to you having your hands in the tank all that much, and then suddenly you are adding a few corals every few days, thats a possibility. But nothing in the glue or epoxy would cause that. I have been thru a horrible ich outbreak before, and have read way more into it than most. If you have any questions feel free to pm me and we'll go over it on the phone.

Typed from my phone, because I have nothing better to do.

Really appreciate the support Chris. I really think that it was stress due to me playing in the tank almost every day since I met you guys at the October meeting. Not blaming it on the club, just saying since I've met all of you my coral count multiplied by 10 and the time spent with my hands in the tank multiplied by 10 as well. Not sure if ya'll are good or bad influences... Haha.

On a serious note, the Tang is the only fish showing any signs of anything and in my opinion is getting better. Once the Tang is better than I'm sure I'll be looking to add something else! lol

Because you have done it from day 1 Mike. Ryan didnt have his hands in the tank at all up until he joined the club.
