Ive just cone home from work and gone to feed, dipped my finger in the water and got a little bit of a tingle from it, narrowed it down to the powerhead, everything in the tank is absolutely fine, problem is im going away for the weekend, should the tank be ok without a powerhead for a few days? Ive still got the return pump and its only a nano tank so its still got a fair amount of flow?

You should be fine.
For under 410, you can go to walmqrt fishing section and get a battery operated pump with airstone to provide movement and oxygen in your absence

Unfortunately im in the uk and im also on a small island just off the coast so the only places that sell fish products are closed now, my return pump is pointing at the surface so i still have surface movement, my power head mainly does flow around the tank

Grounding probe would allow use of powerhead until you get replacement

Im just worried that it may get worse whilst im away and cause my power to trip, i think id rather leave it off for the weekend rather than risk any electrical misshaps

You have water movement from the return, I would yank that PH and trash it immediately. Order a new PH and it may be there by the time you get back from your trip, depending on your post issues on an island.
Not worth it, if it was in my tank, to know there is voltage and let it cook while I was away

Wouldnt a ground probe transfer the current to the fish? I can never remember which is which.
No; grounding probe pulls the stray voltage out of the water and into the ground (or whatever the grounding probe is plugged into; which presumably leads to the ground eventually).

I'd think you'll be fine without the PH. The only risk is that your return pump dies and you have no flow in the tank at all, but that's a small risk compared to an already failing PH getting worse. Not running the PH (and replacing it as soon as is feasible, of course) would be my plan.

I had issue with what I found to be a powerhead also but could not check for a few days. I plugged in ground probe and tingling stopped immediately.
