So I have tried to research this but I am not finding anything that will help my situation.
I just filled and started to cycle a 55g tank that I got used. It had been dry for years, at least 4. I cleaned the tank with water and vinegar to remove the old streaks from the inside of the glass and it looked clear when I was done.
Now that it has light and water in it. I can now see tons of streaks and stains on the inside of the glass that I couldnt before, and my magfloat isn't making any difference.
The tank has had water for 36 hours now and I have tried to scrub with my Magfloat to no avail. Looking for advice on how to remove the streaks, or whether or not they will go away on their own.
thanks
