So I made the mistake of adding stress coat with my protein skimmer on. It’s has been almost 7 days and it’s still bubbling over. I have done huge water changes and washed skimmer out in bath tub. Is this something I’m just gonna have to wait out or is there something I can do? Skimmer is turned all the way down with air valves fully open and it’s still pouring over bubbles. It did not do this till I added the stress coat so it’s not a depth issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I would take the collection cup off the skimmer and give it a quick shot of PAM cooking spray bubbles will not overflow anymore.I do this sometimes when I add new coral with the reef expoxy skimmer goes wild..

Really? I feel like I’m being messed with lol so just some Pam sprayed in? It’s definitely from the stress coat maybe I need to do some more water changes

No not yet I raised skimmer up and set up higher. I also added a bag of carbon to the sump. The bubbles don’t overflow all that much I just don’t have any adjustment room anymore. The skimmer is in my sump so if it does overflow a bit it’s not so bad but it’s not bubbling through lid just over into collection cup and I usually run a dry skim

We are only about a month in and I would have never imaged there was this much you needed. Between getting a rodi with big bins from needing new power heads and modifying sump to our liking it literally just goes on and on lol bought this 125gal pretty cheap but I’ve put more in it on parts alone then I bought the tank for lol
