Stressful evening

While moving a tank , I can't find my diamond watchman goby. Tank is completely drained I still can't find him!! I looked in my sump nope not there. Cup by cup I start putting the sand in the new tank when I see something unusual in the cup. Just as soon as I realize its a goby tail he jumps out if the sand and drops 3 ft and skitters 3 ft across the carpet[emoji36] . I picked him up by his tail cradled my hand under and put him in the tank. He/She seemed pretty energetic so I'm hoping he's alright[emoji106]

Wait a minute though, your moving sand from one tank to another? That is never a great idea. A couple cups is okay to bring over some bacteria & jump start your cycle. But if you try to move it you'll most likely cause toxic tank syndrome, where you basically cause a release of all the toxic gasses in the Sandbed.
