How long has it been cycling ? Is it moving ?

Looks like tiny worms ...they are safe and eat detritus . They will aid in the cycling process. I had an explosion of them but then they seemly just disappear somewhere.

I posted the link you included. You can add pics here on the thread as well. Upload a file button.

Your 1st post. Welcome to REEF2REEF :)

I learned so much here it’s ridiculous . This site will turn you into a chemist and a biologist lol

Part of the uglies of a new tank. A good time to invest in clean up crew consisting of snails, red and blue leg hermits and a water change will alleviate some of this.

Yes they look like little worms sticking out from sand, it’s been cycling for about 3 weeks now and they do move but it’s probably from the fan I have in there.

You should be close if not already cycled from the looks of it.

Test your params . API works fine for starters as it did for me and many others.

If your ammonia is 0 and you have nitrate , it’s usually cycled. You can dose a little ammonia again and if it drops to 0 in 24hrs it’s cycled. The color reading for api isn’t the greatest especially down low. It’s a high range test kit. Can you also post your test results here and the good folks here can help.

Also, would love full tank shots ... it’s eye candy to me and many others ;)

It’s not a big tank it’s just a 15 gallon, I still have ammonia I’m not sure what to do.

Nice aquascape! Did you dose any bacteria supplement? Dr Tim’s , bio spira , and fritz 900 is pretty good . Does look like some ammonia in there still .
