have these weird spider web looking things popping up in my tank. started off with 1 then slowly they're popping up in different spots. strings as thin as a spider web and what they're coming out of looks like a little clear bottom. no tube or anything like that. looks like its stinging my acros so idk what to do. anyone have an idea of what I've got going on cuz I'm at a loss i wanna get something that eats them or find a way to kill them. been thinking about putting puddy over them but its hard to tell where a lot of them are coming from. please help!!

they go in when they grab food and come out and they're starting to pop up all over the place

it's an vermited snail totally harmless but can be an irritence to corals and the can grow out of control if you don't keep them in check!

+1 on Vermetid snail. You have to take them out manually by cutting the hard tube at the base, make sure to take out the rounded base below it as well.
Some fish like copperband butterflies might help with them but those come with their own challenges!

or are they harmless, i thought it looked like they were stinging one of my macros but maybe it wasn't. if they dont bother anything then i dont mind them in there lol

From what I read they are harmless filter feeders. I had one hitchhike on a welso I bought. Haven't seen it lately since I just moved. I re-aquascaped and moved stuff around.
