What can I do to get rid of it or will it go away on its own is it lethal

How old is the tank?
Do you have any current values for nitrates and phosphates?
Are you dosing any amino acids?
Manually remove it and siphon it out and then see how fast it returns, days, hours, during the photo-period only?
Do air bubble develop on the strings as the photo-period goes on?

Some are toxic and some are not.
Any access to a microscope to confirm dinoflagellates?

The tank is 8 months old I have zero reading on nitrate and phosphates but I'm only using API test kits at the moment I do not.dose anything in the tank I haven't seen any air bubbles show up yet I did notice though my snails were dying off one by one . I do not have a microscope or access to one unfortunately

Do you run a sump?
A felt sock is good at catching these guys and change it daily. Through my metronidazole thread this was found to be effective at catching them for manual removal.

From what I can see it is only on the front part of my sand bed no on the rocks a little bit on the front glass should I discard the saltwater mix I have and create a new batch

I do not have a sump but I have a nuvo fusion with rear chambers and a filter sock with extra filter floss in two other chambers
