I feed reef roids 2 or 3 times a week. My Duncan has started releasing stringy stuff right after the feeding. Is that normal? I’ve never seen him do it any other time. I just want to make sure it’s not an issue with the food.

I adjusted the picture to try to make it easier to see. 2 of the 5 heads did it this time.

Sounds like they are pooping..
Maybe cut back on the feedings a bit. Overfeeding can be detrimental to not only the corals, but the tank in general

A broadcast feed would add way more to the tank. I only have a few corals so a feed is only 1/8 tsp. It’s generally twice a week.

Just the frag plug is under the sand. I tried moving him up higher and he hated it. I may try again later but for now, he’s acclimating to new lights.
