Stringy stuff from gills after death

Sadly, my McCoskers flasher wrasse did not make it through QT. He passed in the 3rd transfer of ttm. He had also been treated with prazipro. He was very thin, but seemed to eat a small amount. After he passed, there was some sort of stringy stuff coming out of his gills. Are these internal parasites?

I think that’s just from his sleeping cocoon.

I agree with humble. That does look like wrasse snot from a snot cocoon.
