Thanks for the tip. Wish I could move the monti. I only put it there temporarily but the clowns made it home so I’m not gonna move it. I just break off pieces now and then so it doesn’t overgrow the corner and I thought I took enough off to keep it away from the acan. I guess not. I’ll move the acan when I get home just hope it lasts til then. Wasn’t too expensive a coral but at least I get to see something new and learn a bit more.
Just to update everybody who helped me understand how important it was for me to move the acan. I moved it away right when I got home. And I’m thinking it wasn’t a coincidence that the acan sprouted 3 baby heads within 2 weeks of moving it. It grew nothing when it was next to the monti. There’s definitely so much more going on in these tanks than we can see. That acan just seemed so happy once I moved it.
