Striped Black Worm Spitting Mouth Out

Calling the almighty #reefsquad for assistance IDing this black striped worm thing that has been living under my goniopora for almost a year now. I see it coming out at night stretched towards the sand. Is this little guy safe? I kinda like him. I am sure it’s not a feather duster! It’s been in one spot for a year without causing trouble? Odd

It sort of looks like a serpent star leg, but those move around quite a bit...

You could dip the coral/rock and see what comes out..

I dip all my corals in Revive before adding them into the tank! Yeah it’s been in that same spot and comes out every night. It’s not any type of starfish either, just a long black striped worm thing...

Peanut worm...good guy! Enjoy him He will eat debris and leftovers and hang out cleaning up!

There is a type of peanut worm that lives in the bottom of walking dendros and that's how those corals move.

I had a peanut worm hitchhiker in the base of my toadstool. Worried me at first but I got to like Mr Peanut and watched him poke his nose around at night when the toadstool was closed up. Neat guy! I was sad when he stopped showing up. Now imagine if a peanut worm could make a toadstool walk? My tank would have been in chaos with that giant thing roaming around!

The only thing that can get my corals to walk is my dang tiger pistol shrimp. He owns the tank and rearranges as he pleases, my sand is a hilly terrain because he’s such a hard worker .
