Stronger pump for Remora? (Help!)

Hey guys, my MJ 1200 on my remora gave out. I was never happy with the performance of the skimmer, the collection cup's water only ended up a light brown/ dark green. I was thinking of getting a stronger pump but dunno if its gonna help alot or how much stronger I should go. I was considering going from the MJ (294 gph) to a Rio+ 1100 or 1400 (382 or 420 gph).
Any suggestions or experiences welcome!

You can use a mag 3 on it. It will pull a good bit more

I've had a Remora with a Mag 3 on my 50 gallon system and I have to say I'm not impressed. I would highly suggest getting a new skimmer altogether, I've heard and seen that the Remora's are junk no matter what you put on it. I am planning on getting something else once funds become available.

Thanks for the input... unfortunately I guess more flow will have to do considering the funds issue is hitting me aswell.
