Has anyone seen any effects good/bad when dosing this? I use 1 drop per week in my 10 gal and it seems like the colors in my zoas are brighter. I stopped dosing this when I was using vibrant, but now that I am finished with that, I noticed my zoas looking not as bright. I decided to put a drop in last night and boom this morning instantly brighter. Is this just something that I am seeing because I want to see it or does this really truely work?

I will keep you informed. I was researching it found strontium in particular to be very interesting. From what I am to understand both ostrontium and molybdenum are metals. Strontium seems toxic to me and what I find interesting is that strontium actually replaces calcium. I was thinking that might be why the colors would look brighter over time. Does that sound fair?

Nope ( :D). It is simple chemical replacement of strontium for the very chemically similar calcium in both abiotic precipitation of calcium carbonate and in coral skeletons. I can't see why that would impact color.

I discuss strontium in detail here:

Thanks Randy! I have been reading some of your articles and they are great! I like how detailed your write ups are. I am not in the science field ( I studied finance)so I have to take notes and do some additional research which is great as well. Again, thanks for all of your contributions to the hobby!

They changed the links for some irritating reason. When you get a dead link, you can almost always find them via the way back machine even if they are completely gone from the web. If there is a new link, they can often be found by googling the title. That's how I find the new links they have:
