Strontium and other trace brand

I have used AF for my amino and trace. It strucks me how different the dosing instruction is different from each.

for example, AF Amino is 1 drop per 27 gallon where brightwell needs multiple drop. The same applies to different brands available.

pulled from AF website:

1ml Strontium (~ 15 drops) rise 1,09 ppm in 100L (27 US gal)

Brightwell:

Each ml of Brightwell Aquatics Strontion will increase the concentration of strontium (“[Sr2+]”) in 1 US-gallon (3.785 L) of water by 8 ppm.

are there actually more “reefing tax” in some brand? The cost of strontium is low so really, it’s whatever. Most of the time, I tend to stick to brand loyalty, but I genuinely wonder wonder what is the difference between brands?

would be nice to know what brand everyone uses tho!

I think the main difference is where they source it and how pure it is. I have strontium dosed via all for reef but used to use red sea calcium+ (though I probably won't again since there is like a half inch of crud contaminants in their powder when turned into a liquid gallon). BRS did a neat video comparing impurities in different brands and products. I choose a brand based on reputation, dosing instructions (the less conversions the better), and the higher concentration.
