Hi
Can anyone check this is right please

solution
1L RODI
94.625g strontium chloride hexahydrate 99.68% EP

5.8 ml will raise strontium by 1ppm in 550L of aquarium water

thanks
Anth

You forgot it is not pure strontium by weight

strontium chloride hexahydrate is 33% strontium by weight

your dosing solution is 94.6 x 0.33 = 31.1 g/L strontium

5.8 mL contains 0.0058 L x 31.1 g/l = 0.18 g = 180 mg strontium

180 mg/550 L = 0.33 mg/L (ppm)

Thank you
I have no knowledge of chemistry other than what i have learned from you and others on r2r.
The formula i have, i took from another thread but it was using strontium-p which is why i though to ask first.
Am i right in thinking if i treble the dose I suggested (5.8ml x 3 =17.4ml) then that would be 0.999 ppm?
