Looking for a few tips. First time aquascape for my 90 gal mixed reef. Everything I’ve tried I don’t seem to like. Tips appreciated

you have 5 rocks. stack 3 on the right leave a space and two on the left. without super glue and epoxy it might not ever look like TOTM, but will do just fine for placing corals on!

Break one of the rock into smaller rocks. Put the smaller rocks on the bottom and larger rock on three smaller rocks. If you can get flatter rock it would be much better than roundish sort of rock., at least flat on one side. Smallest rocks on the bottom and largest rocks on top.

yes you can elevate each rock with three little rubble pieces too. that allows for water movement if your doing bare bottom.

Hard to tell from the pic but the middle most rock on the left side has a large flat surface on the top. Was trying to keep that to create some sort of shelf like suggested. If I’m understanding correctly I should create some sort of pedestal for the larger rocks, which rock looks out of place that I should break?

I’m in agreement with break the rocks apart. You can make all kinds of cool things with small pieces. I got three big rocks, broken one into small pieces and made an arch.

Your tank is small, so you need smaller rocks. Try to chisel or do control break of the rock. Do you have some sort of ceramic, rock or tile saw? If you do, use these. Also there are may place which sell flat rocks, or rocks that was saw in flat rocks.
When something stands on top of three points it is very stable, so try to set your rocks up similar to this. I always try to have smaller rocks on the bottom with larger ones on top. This is about the most stable structure you can form. Plus these structure results in a lot of caves your fish can go into.
You also can try to set up rocks by put smaller rocks together, however structures like these are not stable. If you have a larger snails or anemones, these animals can shift the rock just enough to cause a collapse of the structure.
