But wouldn't the other corals be showing signs of stress?

Each coral will stress in different ways and at different times
Some coral don't even give signs that is why I have select coral in my tank that shows faster so I can react quicker to a stressful situation

Sorry I stand corrected you have 2ppm of nitrates.
I am going to have to guess it was the water change.
Try to put it in an area of more flow to keep the sluff off.

So I moved them and shook off the film, and this is what it looks like. Is that the skeleton poking through or something else?

Those are the mesenterial filaments, not terribly unusual to see them after a water change. It's a sign of stress.

No there is really nothing you can do but continue to monitor your water chemistry as appropriate, they usually recover just fine once everything settles down.

Do you agree with the previous guy about keeping them in a higher flow area till they recover? Thanks for the advice!

I would keep it in moderate flow to lower flow, I would not stick it in direct flow, off to the side.

As long as it's not getting blown away I would leave it be.

I have two hydor power heads with the koralia controller they alternate every 15 min in my 20g tall

That should be fine. Hopefully they'll fluff back up by tomorrow.

Remember though you should have to add any Ca supplements to your water change, yet. Once you start to see the development of coralline algae, and your Calcium value falls below 350 then thinking about supplementing.

Yes I use reef crystals and maintain my salinity at 1.025. I figured I shouldn't have to dose much in the 20g, I do 4g water change once a week.

With Instant Ocean RC you should not have to dose/supplement for a while. Reef Crystals mixes at a fairly high Calcium level if you mix to an SG over 1.023.

To give you some idea I use reef crystal too and have 15 sps frags/mini colony without any dosing.
Basic 5% water change every week.

Figured I'd give you guys an update. I moved the coral down and reduced the lighting and it appears to have worked. Thanks for the help.

Looks like a colt type coral. I have mine at the bottom near sand bed and medium/low flow
