I have two acans that are struggling in my 40B and another that has great polyp extension. I think my issue was related to too high flow which occurred due to a poor aqua scape where I didn't have areas of lower flow and too high of lighting (wasn't placed high enough off surface). My other acan is definitely in a higher flow area and is also higher up in the tank elevation wise. Now I am second guessing myself on placement and have them on a frag rack and my lord is looking better. Any way to stop or reverse the damage? Is the first one just done for?
Other info
Alk 8.2
Cal 450
Mag 1350
Nitrate 15
Phosphate .02(up from .00)
2 AI Prime mounted per BRS
2 MP40 on lagoon previously mounted across from each other offset about 2" left to right at top 1/3 of tank. Adjusted to 1 in front from 1/3 from top and 1 at the back at lower 1/3rd
Not a steep decline, not a huge amount of polyp extension since I got them 1.5 months ago. Have dipped several times for pests...
Any ideas?
