stubborn display algae, try GFO?

I dosed 1400mg of Flucanazole on the 9th and no noticeable change Going to go back to the clean-up crew expansion plan and possibly start Vibrant in a few days. I'm really tired of ripped out algae every few days.

Clean up crew and balance the phosphates and nitrates (Po4 .01 to .03 nitrates 3 to 5 ppm or a little higher)

I found when I use Lanthanum Chloride that I could be my phosphates down and the maintained the levels with GFO. I have a 80 gal water volume.

Any update @turbo2oh ? I have a similar volume tank with similar parameters (detectable phosphate, 0 nitrates) with a Kessil powered refugium and have similar DT algae problems. Is there a known way to raise nitrate without raising phosphate?

Yep, never got results from the Flucanzole after 2 full treatments. I started Vibrant on 12/18 (about 8ml every 3/4 days). I started seeing significant die off in 4 weeks, almost all gone by 6 weeks. I think it was some type of turf algae the Flucanzole just wasn't working on. It killed all my chaeto as well, but well worth it.

Yea that's what I'm worried most about (killing my chaeto). Well good to know the nuclear option is available if I need to go that route. I'm going to try GFO and if that doesn't work maybe a Lawnmower Blenny. I'll go the Vibrant route if the other approaches don't work.

Get a small yellow tang will clean out that rocks in two weeks
