Put a lid or something mostly across the top and about half a bucket of water. By only giving a little light maybe you can get it to move to the side instead of the bottom for easier removal.

Glad you were able to remove it.

If it were to happen again, here's what I do: I have good luck with a hotel key card or gift card since they're a tad bit thinner than credit cards. Use your fingers (I use rubber gloves because my skin is sensitive to the mag's nematocysts/sting) to massage the foot to allow you to get a corner of the card under the edge of the foot. You should be able to slowly slide the rest of the card underneath, and the rest of the foot should release.

Is it normal for it to do this first couple of days ?

Normaly he is 5 times larger .

My anemone took about a week to get acclimated in my tank. Just give it time to get used to its new home.

BTAs are one of the few hosting anemones that fully deflate. My mags never deflate.

If yours does this once or twice in the first week, I'd say it may just be acclimating. But if it happens continuously or more than a few times, I would remove it and begin the antibiotic treatment process.

sounds like expelling zoox? maybe its time for cipro treatment?

Can you share photos? Even without seeing them, it's probably in your best interest to begin treatment. It will do more to help than to hinder (I've never heard of a healthy anemone die due to treatment).
