so my mom gave me a few early birthday gifts and one of them was a duncan head. the only problem is i have a FOWLR and a pipefish/seahorse tank, so i have nowhere to put the coral. put it in the fowlr and it was fine for an hour, until i came back in the room to see my arrow crab and angelfish picking at it. i have it in a breeders basket but it obviously can't stay there forever. should i try putting it with my seahorses/pipefish even though it stings? i have read its on the less aggressive side as far as stinging corals go, but is it worth a risk?

I wouldn't risk my seahorses if I was you.
May have to return it.
Time to setup a reef tank.
cant return it. was bought at petco LoL. just sold my 3 reef tanks last month, had to slim down my collection for when i go to college

I had one in my seahorse tank. Who was ticked off was the Duncan, because the seahorses thought it was a great hitch.... and it was.

1 success story was all i needed to hear to try it. worst that happens is it gets stung and i have to put it in quarantine. thanks LoL

Duncans don't sting like that. Their nematocysts produce a sensation of stickiness, not a zap. There's more than one success story, though. I like this picture..... he looks "happy", doesn't he! I have no doubt he will be fine with that coral. There will not be a need to move the seahorse. You just have to be willing to possibly lose the duncan, should it become a favorite hitch.
