I had this monti get stung super badly by a bubble tip anenome and now this brown algae is growing like a little bush on its dead part

Yes it is. The coral tissue is gone there, so its essentially just a clean rock with no protective biofilm. Algae is opportunistic. Very common progression. You can let it go and the coral might fight it off and regrow tissue, or just break off the bad parts to keep it from possibly causing further damage to the coral.
