I have been testing my phosphate levels in my tank for the last few months with a Hanna Checker and it always reads about .72 -.78 Some other water has been tested to make sure the checker is working and its getting .05 in that tank.
My issue it I do not have alot of algae, my corals are growing like mad and have great color.
I did have some bubble algae but it has decreased down to a few small patches.
Can the Hanna checker be reading something else in the water?

If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Everything looks great and you can't argue the results. So sometimes you just have to let things be.

You may do more harm than good trying to get it lower.

Just curious what lighting you use?

Nope I made my lights 3 years ago and UV was not around. I did add 2 BoostLEDs Par 30 s with 3 reds and 2 whites to see what it would do. So far not much change.

I"m in the same boat. I have all my stuff going great I do weekly water changes 0ppm water going in barebottom tank and I have .21 p04. Everything looks great its bright and vibrant, clean glass every 2-3 days. I just ordered some gfo and put a small amount of carbon in. Ill let you know if it was worth it :)

I'm also with c_healy...don't sweat it. Take it that you're doing things so right that a little excess PO4 isn't an issue - and keep doing it. :)

Aside from Ca and alkalinity, most test kits shouldn't be touched unless you're seeing a problem with the tank.
