When my monti started to grow into my pavona I knew it was going to be bad but I forgot about it and they were touching and the pavona was stinging the monti and it took about a 3-4 days for the coral to actually start to die. I have a colony so I was able to trim. Unless it was there for a large period of time then I think it should be fine. It doesn’t look that damaged plus Duncan’s retract so most of the soft tissue isn’t exposed. Give it time and it should be fine just keep an eye on it

Just last week a frogspawn fell over in my frag tank.... It was stinging my duncan for maybe 15 minutes to 2 hours before I saw it... The duncan was mad and all 3 heads were deflated and retracted for 2 days even though only 1 head was touching..... then when the lights came on on the 3rd morning it was back to normal and full... This is just my experience... Dave

A Duncan can definitely recover from being stung.

Here's my Duncan after being stung in the front area by an anemone for about a month.

I expected the heads in front to die. But after separating the two of them, this is the coral a few weeks later. The heads are slowly recovering.

I think yours will be fine as long as parameters are good. Good luck!

W Hat should you do if the skeleton is showing? I had my space invader pectinia fall into my torch and some of the skelton is now showing. Its been about 5 days but dosnt look very happy and it usually puffs up after eatting so I feed it a couple times and it looks kind of shriveled! Should I dip it in iodine or something?. I have brightwells restore as well and lugols iodine plus medicoral! All brigtwell not sure which to use. Recover is sort of amino acic based and dont have to remove from tank
