I am curious. I have a aquatic life t5 fixture. Will it be beneficial to add exotic LED strips to my t5? Or should I just stick to the t5s. Was going to just switch to the lumentec pro. But its out of price range right now.

I don't see what would be wrong with adding the strips
Deff couldn't hurt anything. There's nothing wrong with more light.

Didn't know if it was worth adding or waiting to be able to afford the Reef radiance LEDs.

The reef radiance LEDs will not grow anything. They show the corals well but after that there's no growth. Every tank I've seen them on for longer than two months looks terrible.
Have you looked into reef breeders LEDs?

I have a reef radiance par38 bulb on my frag tank and it grows my zoas nicely. It doesn't have a lot of blue in it so it doesn't show colors like the Diy on my display though.

Well the par bulbs are better. I'm talking about the big square ones. They look and work great but for some reason everyone I know that has them has since switched to a different kind. Claiming poor coral growth after a few months.

A light that grows zoas well, is not hard to find... that's something pc's can do. Not saying its a bad light but I am saying there are better ways to judge a fixture.

Well I have already ordered the strip light. So we will see how it goes. As far as Reef radiance LEDs I have only see great reviews on them.

My Reef Radiance Led`s are doing great and corals are growing . Maybe your friends need to do more water changes and check CA,MAG and ALK .

Funny ??? mine are growing corals and I have had the lights a lot longer then 2 months .

I use only stunners in my FOWLR. I have 4 of the whites and two of the royal blues. That's it. They grow plenty of algae to keep my angels and cuc happy ,a nd I have a lot of coralline growth as well.

I sent the stunners back no where near enough light. My t5s definitely drown them out.
