Never, ever use glue or anything on bulkheads. If it’s not sealing you either don’t have it tight enough or the rubber seal is bad.

I’ve found bulkheads need to be hand tight folllowes by 1/4 to 1/2 turn with wrench to snug it up. Like my dad always told me...tights tight. Too tights f*****

In fact, Pro life tip is don’t use superglue at all - fix the real issue instead of bandaid everything. Superglue was invented to seal war wounds on the battlefield!

Lol yeah before this, the only time I used superglue was to glue corals to rocks and frag plugs

Yes you should never glue a bulkhead fitting but since you have already done that there is no harm in just using goop or silicone over it to seal the leak.

If it was mine I would replace it with a new bulkhead.

It was discovered when Kodak was trying to make a material to make clear gunsites for rifles in the 40s but didn't work. Wasn't marketed as a glue until the 50s. During the Vietnam war some found it would stop bleeding for transportation to the field hospitals. This was years after cyanoacrylates had been marketed as glue. It's still cool though.

I’ve never met someone who knew the history of super glue so well LOL. Pretty interesting though

I only hand tightened my bulkheads. No silicone no wrenches. The cheap ABS ones seem really easy to crack so I didn’t want to put ilany extra pressure on them. Make sure your pipes are supported and you are not putting extra weight on the bulkheads.
