Stupid Question identifying live rock

Still new to reef tanks sorry if this is a silly question. I'm trying to identify what type of live rock I ended up buying from my lfs. I was eager to get tank up and running and jumped the gun bought first thing that caught my eye with out doing my research. Had the rock about 4 weeks now up and running and it seems like the paint is fading away which I knew would happen but the rock looks like cement to me. Hoping I didn't just buy painted cement for the price but still looks nice.

Yeah... that's what you bought. nothing wrong with it. Not as good for bio filtration but it looks nice.

Great! Should I go get someone my money back they sold it to me as cured live rock

Yep probably man made rock. I'm sure they cured it in their tank so it is live rock now!
