Stupid question

So what would happen if my skimmer cup spilled in to my sump. Should I just be looking for a no3 and po4 spike?

Yes but obviously depends how much is in there. If a days worth probably not even noticeable. If a months worth then may see good spike for over the next few days. This is main reason i empty mine at least once a week....my clumsy self always spilling it....

That's what I thought I just wanted to check. My no3 are low anyways. So might help me out in long run. Thanks
