Stupid snails!

So I finally started to get what I think are diatoms. Just light brown coating over some of the rocks and sandbed. Went and picked up about 10 blue legged helmets, most of which are plowing through the algae. Also got 3 turbo snails and 3 Cerith snails Yesterday they were all moving around feasting on the algae and. Ow they are all just sitting on the rock work doing nothing. What gives with the snails?!?!

My snails are more active at night. They may have gorged up and not want more right this moment or your algae may not be a type they will eat.

maybe. But they were gobbling it up yesterday. One of them is moving around again. Maybe they are just full. The hermit crabs are making a huge dent in the brown algae.
