So after much googling I cannot find a consensus on the lighting and flow of rainbow stylophora, some people say high light high flow, others say low light, low flow, and everything in between. I have a par38 with UV over a 10 gallon for now, and want to move it into the 55 once I get some growth in what I've begun to call my "nursery" tank.

It kinda depends on what you want it to look like. My pink one loved moderate light and moderate flow and was a very bright pink in those conditions. Lower down and it faded out a bit and too high up and it looked "bleached" to me.

I want to maintain the rainbow colors

Experiment and draw on the experience of the previous owner is what I would suggest then. I have no experience with those, just the pink ones.

My rainbow kept rainbow colors in high flow high light...

I think you will be fine where it is, but I had one that did not require high flow or light although not a rainbow one, it was a pink and purple.

Jays was up high and near a MP40 but was near the end of the tank which doesnt have the highest PAR.

Arthur put it high and high flow for the color you want, I got it from Jay so I am going to agree with him since it was his initially... I bought a frag of his that had not been getting as much light because it was blocked a little.. I put it up high and right in the flow pattern of my MP10 and it colored up great in about a month... Also same on that birdnest you bought, if you want to keep the really pink color give it lots of light and flow.
