Lowe's in the building section, It's building hardboard insulation sheets and they sell a 1/2 sheet that works for your tank needs.

Actually #3 is better to bond things together, The 16 is used for strength as a bead layed into corners or on seams FYI. Rick is the house expert on Acrylic and I bet he will agree.

Tim, I have some of both and a applicator needle if you want to make the trip to get them?? Or i could bring them to the AC this coming Friday??

I use weldon #2 or #3 to bond acrylic. For sealing gaps weldon 16 is fine, but not as strong as 2 or 3, its more like syrup.

Yeah, it really depends on what you are using it for. 16 is more like a gap filler.
