Submersible filter

What's the best one do you use one and how do you use it. I got a Red Sea max 250 and think I need more filtration

what makes you think you need more? usually the live rock is your filtration. most reefers don't use any other filtration with the exception of skimmer, and a sock if you have a sump. I do use a canister on my 120 gal. reef on occasion, with only carbon when I frag my leathers.
