I have this multicoloured substance on the surface of where the return pump is. Can anyone please help me identify what this is? What should i do?

Looks like oil from your pump, I'd get that thing out oh there

another vote for oil as the slick oil slick on the water. try a new pump and let us know. sometimes these things are a process of elimination but that is my guess
