Substrate??

so i'm going to be doing my biocube over and was wondering what is peoples favorite type of substrate. right now i have regular sand but i fell that it is too fine. so what do you guys think?

I use sugar sized oolite sand. It is fine but settles down quickly.

I'm a fan of fine sand too but it takes time to settle and if a powerhead gets knocked off it can create a sand storm. All comes down to personal preference.
