People who are keeping succesfully (+1 year) wall hammers, could you share your parameters and do's/dont's? Thanks!

I'm only about 3 months with this one. Seems to be healthy and happy. I really focus on my nitrate and phosphate numbers now. 10 nitrate and .11 phosphate currently. Obviously light and flow are important also.

I would say placement low/on the sandbed, 75-125 PAR, and low flow (gently waving tentacles).
Too much flow it will let you know by not opening fully.
Yes thank you I have it near the bottom of tank with little flow and it's opening up pretty good now, thanks again for the reply

My 2 survivors are on the bottom and not crazy flow or light which is hard for me as I run 5 G5 Radion XR30 Pro. I do feed LPS pellets every 2 or 3 days and stopped moving them around. My frogspawn colony on the other hand, near the top of my tank, always happy and gets the same LPS pellets.

Here's what it looks like after a week in my tank

Had mine for 7+ years. Been through several tank crashes. Thought I was gonna loose it a few times but it always bounce back. Alk swing, temp swing, contamination. I don't feed or do much to it. It's in med light med flow right now but I had it all over the place.

Parameters vary across tanks but general stability of parameters and low (but not zero) nitrate and phosphate. Indirect moderate flow and sub 150 PAR.
