I didn’t have a lot of aiptasia (about 6 that I could see) in my tank, but most of them were in difficult places - within or adjacent to corals. They were stinging and damaging some corals and I didn’t think I could use f-aiptasia without hurting the corals. So I picked up two larger peppermint shrimp.

It was several days to a week before they did anything. Then I noticed that one aiptasia was gone. And then day by day another would disappear. They have been in the tank for 20 days now and all the aiptasia is gone. Yay! Just thought I’d share the timeframe with people. It’s a 60g tank so it took them a bit of time to locate them.

I've had success peppermints on a couple different occasions too.
I did have to add a bunch to my 240 and it was months before I saw any difference.
That was several years ago and I haven't seen any in the display tank since.
