Who has kept successful SPS corals using Jebao wave makers? pls explain and share photos

I've seen many reefers in my years use low to medium flow so you might want to put them in a loc. of indirect high flow if using multiple heads....

How can i tell if an sps is responding to good flow?

Good polyp extension, If they're getting too blasted they'll retract polyps, Depends on each individual piece. Some of my Millies LOVE high flow, where as my Cali tort prefers more subdued flow.

I am using two Hydor + 1 Jebao and I keep my SPS in the higher areas of my tank where there is a lot more light and flow.

How can you tell if they like it? At night when the lights are off, use a flashlight and see if they are active. You can see their little tentacles come out.

LOL! I am using the same set up--two Hydors and 1 Jebao. I have my SPS up high and look at the PE at night. I have the Hydors on the "wave maker" controller they sell and I switch the Jebao from random to wave about every three days or so just to keep things different.

Nice! My hydros are on the same speed mode and have the Jebao on the wave maker which give me good movement. :D

Nice. So its not mandatory to spend an extra $800 on Some vortechs? I actually already have one Jebao wp10 and an extra koralia (The 240 though) Should i buy just buy one more koralia and program it into the apex?

Absolutely not! I am not a huge fan of the Vortech "ear muff" look. I tested a MP10 with a Jebao 25 (i think 25) and the Jebao was so much better. You can control the angle of the flow from up, down, left, right. The wave maker is also great.

Best $70 buck purchase I made.

I have a 125 and run 2 WP40's and 2 koralia 1400's and my sps love the flow rates. I have them angled upwards to create surface agitation and to blow across the top of the rock work.

Wow. I will be saving tons of money. More to spend on corals lol

Ok so. For the Jebao settings you keep it on Wave1 24/7 and the koralia on alternate flow? or do you use "Else" for random flow 24/7?

I do W1 / S1 setting and dial in to your liking. Rememeber the point is to get a good bouncing flow in your LPS. You then can adjust the dial and position of your fan. I leave this on 24/7.

My two Hydor's I leave on 24/7 also on steady flow aimed to the top of the tank which gives a good oxygen spread in the tank. No bubbles of course .

okay cool. And you keep SPS also yah? and they are doing well?

I use one WP10 in my 30cube and for now, it seems like plenty. I've gotten much better polyp extension from all of my acros since i switched from the two koralia nanos i was using. I keep it on ELSE mode most of the time, but crank it up to full power on occasion to help keep sediment from collecting on my rocks.

I just cleaned the screens and impellers for my Hydors and my Jebao, and WOW. My tank flow is rocking again. I didn't really realized that until after the cleaning. I am running my Hydor on the 10 second alternating cycle on a Hydor Smart Wave. I have the Jebao running on the W1 with the speed dial set around 60%--about 2 o'clock. Like I said earlier, I just change my setting from the W1 to the Else every few days. I also use the light sensor so things slow down as night. I am thinking hard about getting a second Jebao and getting the dual controller they now have. Not sure if you've seen it, but it controls two pumps independent of each other from one controller.
