Succi Shark Internal Filter

I’ve had a Sicce shark 2 internal filter for a month, along with my canister. I really like the shark as it has been working great, but just recently it has been sending out micro bubbles and I have no idea where to start. I know it has an air intake on top for aeration, but I took off the tube (kinda like a snorkel), and placed the filter 3-4 inches below the surface. It’s low enough that it isn’t causing a Venturi effect. Any help would be much appreciated!

Take a look at the tubing, it will get clogged up with salt creep(crunchy salt), gotta clean em out once in awhile.
