Sudden Coral Death?

My pipe organ which was doing spectacular just imploded basically. No idea why. There are some dino's in my tank, but none are covering it. There's a red critter on it as well as a tan critter (I was told it looked like a sponge of some sort).

Could it have starved? I never dose, but do weekly 10% water changes.

I've seen the polyps go back into their tubes, but nothing ever like that.

Corals are weird. I panic all the time. They look like they have been melted by toxic waste one day and then the next day are ready for a photo shoot.
