Hello!

I am still pretty new to the hobby but have had my tank set up for about a year now. At first everything was great but over the last couple months or so I have lost torches, ricordias, and trumpets as well as couple of others. Everything else seems to be doing good. Am I missing something? What could be causing the sudden deaths?

Parameters:
Ammonia-0
Nitrates- .5ppm
Alk- 8.0
Salinity- 1.025

thanks!

What about your lighting and flow? Temps? Phosphate level? Nitrates seem a little low. Any chance you have chemical warfare going on in the tank? Parameters are a good start, but without knowing everything that's happening it can be hard to pinpoint.

What killed a whole bunch of my corals in the beginning of my tanks life my salinity issues. I was dumb and didn't want to invest the money in an ATO, so I topped the water off my hand which was a pain. I rarely tested and my salinity was out of wack for a few months, which unfortunately killed a few of my nicer pieces. BTW did you use RODI water at all? I'm saying this because you have a super high level of chlorine in your water, which is super toxic to all life in a reef tank.
