Sudden single spidery algae monster

I've got the same thing in my tank. It is usually on the rocks for me. Saw it on the back glass once.

boom. Well-done. Nice view of the worm colony.
I have no idea what worms those are. But that is a wild behavior, to emerge en mass like that at lights-out.

I have this same exact creature in my tank
Now ! Did you guys every find out what it was ? I have read many people think it may be Labyrinthula , but doesn’t look like it under magnification, looks more like worms which can morph into goop and back into worms
