After an almost 10year break from this hobby, I returned with a pico. The thing is I have no experience with LED. All my tanks had MH or T5s.
I currently have a 2.5g, to be precise L7⅕*W6⅔*H11⅕ (20*17*30 in centimetres). The light fixture is 1in from the water surface and 11½ from the bottom.
One channel has 12*0.36watt SMD3016 cool whites and 1*0.36watt SMD3016 blue. By experience I would guess this channel resembles 10.000k. Channel two has 4*0.36watt SMD2835 blue.
My question is, will this 6,5watt DIY fixture be adequate for this tank size?
If yes, would it be barely "low" for corals or do to its low placement corals up high might get too much light?
