I think Bill Wann is making a 150w UV now and for the size the price I didn't think was bad. Let me hunt for it.

Edit, I didn't see it on aquarium engineering site, but check his facebook. I am thinking they are 1k with extra bulb.

Get the Pentair! The E150s is what you need. Looks like on their website it’s on sale for $800 versus the original $1000.

I have the 40 watt pentair in my 75 gallon. It helped with my dino problem and definitely it down on glass cleaning. I haven’t cleaned the bulb or any other maintenance in 3 months. It’s quality built and I highly recommend the brand.

AquaUV is what I have. They really know UV's.
I'd either choose them or Pentair, depending on your needs.
I needed a small 25 watt that could fit under my stand. And AquaUV lets you rotate the input/output connections independetly to give you more options when plumbing. For example, you could have your input plumbing coming up from below and your output plumbing could shoot out towards the front of the stand. Or whatever other angle you need. No need for extra elbows or whatever.

They also have great charts on their website to make sure you choose the appropriate size for your tank. Pay special attention to the flow rates in the REEF column.

I believe they make larger units as well, but this one is a beast (it's 6" diameter PVC and it's like 4 ft long).

FWIW, when I installed it 2 months ago my hippo tang, achilles, and bariene tangs all had fairly bad ich and I was convinced they were going to die from it. Since I started running it they have been 100% spot free. I know they say that UV can't "cure" ich, but it sure seems to have done the trick with my tank.

Check out debary units, it's hard to find places that sell it outside of Germany. But imo it's one of the best quality uv out there. Be prepared to pay $$$ for quality though

I went with the TMC110. It looks good ..... haven't actually hooked it up yet though LOL. Reasonably priced too!

If you have multiple returns, have you considered having a smaller unit on each return? TMC makes a 110 watt you could install on multiple returns.

They make more high flow units with high output bulbs. They're much cheaper, have higher flow rates, aren't as long and clunky and are mostly used in Europe. Though there's an American place called "American Aquarium Products" that sells them. Their website has A TON of useful real-world info on their site. May be good to read it even if you don't go with their product.

UV works more efficiently if all of the water is passing through the units. You can plumb in a bypass if you want so you can take it offline for maintenance. I don't have the 110 watt, but have some of the 25 watt units. At a fraction of the price it's definitely worth checking out, imo.
