I was researching dosing pumps and stumbled across the fact that some can be used to perform water changes as well. Please recommend good dosing pumps that are also ideal/great for water changes.

DOS is the one I use. Not sure of other dosing pumps that can be used for water changes

Spectrapure Litermeters have been working for me since the Nineties.
Which model? They are great units! I have the original and it is just for dosing. Unfortunately, it seems Spectrapure stopped making them

Yeah, they don’t seem to be anywhere on their website.

All of them with the exception of the latest iteration. My first one had dials. They never ever fail. That's probably why I haven't noticed they stopped making them, shame.

When you use the word "also", do you have in mind casually pulling off the tubing from your alkalinity reservoir and dropping it in an rodi bucket? They are not exactly made for that, both in pumping speed and in the reliability of the work flow of you doing that every week

Or using 2 heads of a 4 head unit as an automatic water change system?

If you are sure that you'll never need more than 2 channels for actual dosing then you can do that with some of the more expensive option, but if you think that it's ever in the cards for you to need a 3rd head then it's better to just get a separate dedicated AWC unit

The latter, I was hoping to have something that I didn’t remove the lines from the 2 dosing bottles and the extra channels are for water changes.

I’m starting to agree with you, I may just need a AWC unit. I honestly haven’t thought that far because I just happened to come across the water change part while looking for a dosing pump. When I saw that, I thought, wow, that’s mighty convenient to have 2-in-1. It’s starting not to sound too common. I’m trying not to have a million different aquarium gadgets but I may not be able to avoid it. Guess that’s just the nature of the hobby.

The dos is capable of doing auto water changes. So are ecotech versa and the below one from kamoer. Pretty much any pump rated for continuous duty will be capable of doing auto water chnages, just going to depend on how you want it set up

My plan at this point is to get two dumb dosers from Ebay more meant for lab use than reef stuff, and then set it up with a Hydros controller and some water level sensors to perform my water changes for me. Though I technically wouldn't need a doser style pump with a setup like that then.

I have an idea is to use the existing pipe of ATO to TDS 0 water reservoir in my basement.
a 12v valve will do pump out for a few seconds, and Tunze ATO power line will be switch to a 12v pumper located in salt water reservoir and refill water to water sensor level.

it would be an simple setup but need some extra electric wiring and some time relays.
