Hello friends. I am helping a co-worker get his large acrylic aquarium up to par. He's got years of coralline algae buildup on the corners of his tank that's almost impossible to get off. Currently, I am using a wooden dowel cut to an edge to slowly scrape off what I can. It is not easy! He has a huge mag float that was something like $350, but it barely works to clean off the weekly green algae haze. The tank is 48" tall, so its not convenient.

Do you guys have any suggestions or products that will work?

You can make a long handle for a hand scraper out of Aluminum Rod. The magnet ones are expensive and might not work if the coralline is too thick... and then it might scratch the acrylic if you get some coralline pieces in the wet side.
