Suggestions for Actinic Supplement (Night Viewing Only)

I ran the ReefBrite Tech light before and after my main T5 photo period rather than leave the tank dark so I could view it all day for a few years, then just left it on all day the last 6 months or so because it still adds a little more pop along with the T5s.

It worked just fine and is definitely bright enough to view the tank.

I have an XHO on my frag tank and it is a bit brighter.

Either one will work fine for your intended use.

A 6" UV Reefbrite strip would suit your whole tank. They have a unique UV strip that makes everything fluoresce with virtually no light output. It does however make your water look tinted.

Any links to the strip you're recommending. Also, much appreciated to have an ATI rep reply to this. Gracias

Well after giving it some thought, I just went with the ReefBRite 48" VHO and the single LED interface. If it isn't bright enough for what I want to do, I'll just send it back. Do not want to have to purchase 2 of them. Hopefully the additional weight won't cause any issue with how I have my ATI fixture mounted using the AI mounts.

If it makes it front heavy, I'll have to find a way to counter balance it or switch how I have it mounted.

If you are using the hanging kit it’s easy, just slide the lower cable in the adjustable piece a little bit toward the front and it will level out again. This piece.

Not using the entire hanging kit. I think I’ll be able to use the clamp still to keep it from being front heavy. Main concern now is going to be the overall weight on the AI bar.

Got my ReefBrite XHO installed yesterday and like the blue kick it gives for my viewing. Didn't add nearly any weight to the fixture. Not going to keep the interface for it since I won't be adjusting it at all. Will post a pic tonight.
