So, I've kind of hit a dead end with my fish additions in my 125 gallon tank.

Current list if inhabitants is as follows:
4x yellowtail blue damsels
lawnmower blenny
goldheaded sleeper goby
yellow tang
regal tang
flame angel
pajama cardinal
lyretail pearleye Clarkii clownfish
3x peppermint shrimp

I was looking at a powder blue tang, but a fellow aquarist said his powder blue tang is really mean and aggressive so I've shelved that idea for now.

I also looked at a snowflake eel, but I'm afraid he might find a way to commit suicide. Ditto for dartfish.

I was wondering if anyone else had any suggestions for additional fish. I've been looking at gramma, pseudochromis, and wrasses. I've never kept any of these before, so I'm a little hesitant.

I'm in no hurry to add any fish, so I can afford to wait and be picky :)

Thanks in advance and happy reefing!

Look into wrasses. With a 125gal you will be open to all wrasses. I have a yellow fin flasher and also will be acquiring a Leopard this week.

Royal Gramma is an excellent addition as well, it'll add a nice personality to the tank with some purple flash. Have you considered trigger fish, maybe a bluethroat? Maybe some swallow tail angels? wrasses offer lots of options too

I haven't found any triggers that are really reef safe, at least on LiveAquaria.

I haven't seens a swallow tail angel. I'll have to look into those!

triggerfish are usually not reef safe, however the bluethroat and the redtail are "with caution", but I know several owners locally who have had either for years with no issues with their reefs. The other types of triggers are typically not reef safe at all, but there are always exceptions. Bluethroat is known to be the best bet with being reef safe. For swallowtails, look up watanabe, lamark's, masked and bellus, all are reef safe and make beautiful additions

Is your tank covered? If not wrasses may not be a good choice, as they are prolific jumpers. If it is covered wrasses make an excellent addition.

Orchid dottybacks are a peaceful dottyback. Anthias add color and activity. Some of the small waspfish species make for interesting additions.

Tank is not completely covered. A fish would have to clear about 11" from the waterline to get out of the back of the canopy.

Then it is still possible for an 'escape'.
I've read on R2R that a lot of people have had problems with Kole tangs and disease?
Any tang is susceptible to disease and parasites, but this can be addressed through proper qt protocol.
